Tim Atkin describes it as having 'Puligny Montrachet-like elegance with beautifully weighted oak'. The grapes are from some of the highest vineyards in the Hemel-en-Aarde valley.
This is a wooded Chardonnay that manages to be both subtle & intense. At its core are flavors and aromas of grapefruit, white peach, ripe pear & grilled hazelnut. It has mineral acidity that is beautifully balanced by fruit intensity and creaminess despite not having undergone malolactic fermentation because of the heat of the vintage.
