This wine is somewhat of a Tuscany-Burgundy-Piedmont-Rhône mash-up that is surprisingly elegant and balanced. The nose shows a herbal top note before red and black fruit and some smokiness and meatiness. Medium-bodied, it has spicy tones that overlay a gentle silky, “leather feel” back-palate. Perfect with red meat and Italian dishes.
