A refreshing dry wine that has a great minerality, aroma and taste of herbs and grasses and a nice crisp pucker. It displays the bright and fruity character of the grape -- powerful yet elegant, boasting obvious Sauvignon Blanc flavors such as fresh fig, white peach and mint infusion. The palate is tightly stretched offering promising aging potential supported by a classic herbal finish.
This “Reserve” edition of the Bouchard Finlayson Sauvignon Blanc can safely be considered to be a collector’s item. The geographic location of the vineyard, lying within five kilometers of the cool Atlantic Ocean, offers the most ideal temperature zone of the Cape. Added to this, the heavy shale clay soil that typifies the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley lends an inviting tropical tone to the flavor profile of this vintage.
