This expressive wine has notes of oatmeal, pear, peach and orange plus some marzipan. The palate is layered; it's leesy, smoky and a little earthy. Soft and light, but with sufficient acidity, and a long finish.
With Old vine Chenin blanc as the winemakers' main focus, the Aristargos 2018 is predominantly both Chenin blanc and Old Vines driven, with younger Viognier, Roussanne and Marsanne blended in. Drinking window 2020 - 2025.

What a find! This was our Easter Sunday wine and let me tell you, it was a religious experience. ;) Will definitely purchase again - a true gem from one of South Africa's most underrated wine-producing regions.
Delish with Peri-Peri Chicken
Had this with my bbq peri-peri chicken and it was outstanding. The wine stood up to the spice and smoke of the dish. Lovely, rounded mouthfeel.
