The iconic Left Bank-based blend from De Toren, Fusion V is meticulously crafted from Bordeaux’s ‘Noble Five’ varietals and, with its complex flavors of liquorice, black cherry, cedar and dark berries, it offers a stylish departure for sophisticated wine tastes. Soft as spun silk, with a lingering hint of sweet fruit on the back palate, this is a wine that will only improve with age, and should last 20 years. Serve at the optimal 15-18C temperature. Optimal drinking window: 2022 - 2031
Available in 2008 and 2017 vintages.

I'm a huge fan of the De Toren vineyard and find that all the three wines they produce for table drinking (Delicate, Z and Fusion V) are excellent products. The Fusion V is my absolute favourite and yet to be dethroned, with the classic Noble 5 varietals used in a classic Bordeaux blend to give an exploding palette of dark berries, black cherry and liquorice.

A beautiful blended wine
Full body, beautiful ripe back fruits, Cherry, plum, hint of peppermint, tobacco, meaty and with a slight oak flavor. It will pair beautifully with lamb and wagyu. Love it!

Classic Bordeaux Style
Wow! A friend suggested this and it was as good as she said. Loads of complexity for a yougishbwine. Reminded me a lot of the left bank Bordeaux appelations, Margaux and St Julien.
