This is an elegant and understated wine. A lot of care, passion and long hours went into producing this exceptional estate classic. Nuances of cracked pepper, pencil shavings and a fresh meat character combined with firm day tannins, refreshing acidity, well-judged wood treatment and lovely yeasty character. The wine is well balanced with a lingering savoury and red-fruited finish.
Grapes were from a bushvine vineyard planted on granite in 2010. Matured for 16 months, 60% in un-toasted oak and 40% in granite pots.
