Tim Atkin's Rating: 93 points Platter's Guide: 89 points
Produced from 31-year old vines, this wine has intensity, minerality and structure. Flavors of pear, citrus and baking spices are distinctive, with a light touch of oak from barrel. The older vines from Waterford still prove to produce lovely restrained, tightly structured wines that are rather perfumed when young, but develop beautifully during bottle maturation, between 2 to 5 years from release. This wine is drinking beautifully now until 2025.
