TASTING NOTES
This wine is a blend of Grenache blanc with a dash of Grenache Gris from Voor-Paardeberg. This wine fermented in old French Oak barrels, with a few days of skin contact on a portion of the grapes, which gives the wine extra grip and texture. It is an intensely mineral, earthy, and complex wine that would be an excellent companion to full-flavoured dishes.
The label of this wine is a map of Marseille, the roots of the Pagnol family. This wine came to be as a result of an unlikely meeting between winemaker Pieter Walser and the grandson of Marcel Pagnol - the author of the two-part novel “Manon des Sources”. The stories of Air Carrots of Pagnol and Manon des Source are inextricably linked.
