TASTING NOTES
90% Chenin Blanc, 10% Semillon
This delightful expression of Chenin Blanc starts with a wonderful nose of kumquat citrus, sweet oatmeal and honey, and a hint of elderflower. On the palate, this wine is medium-bodied and has an abundance of fruit flavours as well as a hint of salty/sweet candied lemon, as it leads to a long, layered finish. This is drinking well now and up to 10 years from vintage.
The grapes used in Cartology are from dry farmed bushvines, with a minimum age of 30 years, although most are around 40 years old. The Alheits are extremely picky about the parcels that are allowed to make this wine.
