Celebrating Pinotage 100 — A Walkabout Tasting
Regular price $40.00We’re rolling out a walkabout tasting that celebrates Pinotage — South Africa’s one-of-a-kind creation — alongside its “parents,” Pinot Noir and Cinsault.
Pinotage was crossed in the University of Stellenbosch in 1925 (exactly 100 years ago), so 2025 marks its centenary!
Taste your way through 35 wines from 20+ wineries, chat with the people who know them best, and discover just how diverse these grapes can be. Orpheus & The Raven Winemaker Etienne Louw will be present during the event as well. Expect special discount for wines ordered during the event.
Full list of wines will be released soon, and we will be showcasing Pinotage, Cape Blend, Pinot Noir, and Cinsault from both well known brands and boutique cult wineries. Expect magnum bottles and back vintage wines to be poured.
Walkabout Tasting: 2pm to 5pm
2.15pm to 2.30pm: Opening & Pinotage Introduction
Start with a quick welcome from Etienne Louw, winemaker at Orpheus & The Raven, as he shares unpacks the story, science, and soul of Pinotage.
3pm to 5pm — Red Wine + Ice Cream Trend
Yes, we’re doing it. Grab a scoop and try the viral red wine-and-ice-cream pairing everyone’s been curious about. Spoiler: it’s surprisingly good.
Music & Wine Masterclass with Etienne (+$45): 3.30pm to 4.30pm
For those who want to go deeper, join Etienne Louw for a small-group music & wine masterclass, who is bringing along his guitar.
He’ll pour 6 special wines and show how music changes the way you taste. It’s geeky, sensory, and a little bit magical. Ticket includes wines and light bites.

We offer FREE DELIVERY for orders above S$250. Our delivery fee for orders that fall below this minimum is S$20 per address.
Your order will be delivered within two working days of your order being placed.
We deliver from Monday to Friday between 12PM - 7PM. There are no deliveries on weekends.
You will receive an email or WhatsApp message to check timings, to ensure that someone of legal age is available to receive your order at your delivery address, or to seek your confirmation that our driver can leave the package at your door if no one is at home to receive the goods.
In the event of a repeat delivery, an additional S$20 delivery fee will be charged.

If you are ordering less than our minimum value for free delivery (above $250) and would like to arrange self-collection, you can collect your order from our warehouse from 9AM - 5PM, Monday to Friday. Our warehouse is located at:
