With 300 years' heritage, Spier is one of South Africa's oldest wine farms dating as far back as 1692. The farm has been owned by the Enthoven family since 1993, and their diverse range of high quality wines for all budgets are made with minimal intervention and environmental sustainability in mind.
Cellarmaster Johan Jordaan, believes in 'respecting what the vineyard hands you'. He has a deep reverence for what the harvest brings to the table, and in not tampering with natural processes.
He places great emphasis on mid-palate weight on his premium quality wine. His passionate commitment for creating authentic wines that express the terroir has earned him many awards for his craft.
