TASTING NOTES
This is a Noble Late Harvest made from 100% Chenin blanc.
The wine displays a rich golden hue. Intense aromas of dried apricots, quince jelly, orange blossom and ginger spice emanate from the glass. The entry onto the palate is intense with flavours of dried peach and apricots, preserved orange and ginger snap biscuits. The mid-palate is full and rich with a creamy texture. This all leads to a finish which is surprisingly fresh and intensely spicey with a good grip. The wine has a perfect balance between acidity, alcohol and sugar.
Fresh pan seared Foie Gras or Foie gras pate served on Crostini and herb salad; or served with a dessert of crepes and a citrus syrup; or ripe hard cheese and nuts.
