TASTING NOTES
This wine has top notes of pomegranate, cranberry and red cherry with an underlying savoury note. It has 'suedey' textured tannins and ripe but restrained fruit from careful selection and blending of various clones grown on sandstone soils within the cool Elgin area.
Although the wine is approachable at its youth with fresh red fruit components and textured tannins, the wine will age nicely for at least 8 years where the fruit components will evolve to tertiary forest floor, truffle, earthy and savoury notes that are typical in great Burgundy examples.
