TASTING NOTES
The High Road benefits from the talent and experience of consultant Miles Mossop, which partly explains the quality of this well-priced Left bank Merlot led style Bordeaux cuvée.
The wine displays a beautiful deep plum-red colour with a red brick rim. Notes of wild bramble fruit and ripe prune are evident on the nose, with hints of dried herbs and underlying notes of toasted oak and vanilla. The entry on the palate is smooth and packed with blue and red fruit flavours. The tannins are finely textured, and the finish is crisp and clean with lingering notes of dried herbs and pepper spice.
You can drink now, but the wine will be best over ten years from the vintage. Serve with a herb-crusted rack of lamb with a salsa verde.
