TASTING NOTES
51% Cabernet Franc, 34% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot
Warwick Trilogy 2018 is a sophisticated Bordeaux-style blend, led by Cabernet Franc and complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. In the glass, it displays a deep garnet color with a ruby rim. The nose is complex and inviting, offering layers of cassis, black plum, blackcurrant, and raspberry, intertwined with lavender, cedar wood, cigar box, sweet spices, dried herbs, and subtle oak.
On the palate, this wine is rich, concentrated, and harmonious, revealing ripe black fruit, blackberry, and cassis, balanced by savory notes of tobacco, leather, and dried thyme. The structure is full-bodied with firm yet silky tannins, vibrant acidity, and a long, elegant finish that recalls hints of wood and spice. Decanting is recommended to allow the wine to fully express its depth and finesse.
Food Pairings:
Pairs beautifully with roasted beef, lamb, venison, braised beef short rib, teppanyaki, yakiniku, grilled Mediterranean vegetables, and aged cheeses. The wine’s structure and acidity also complement dishes with savory herbs and root vegetables
