TASTING NOTES
59% Chenin Blanc, 16% Clairette blanche, 10% Grenache blanc, 10% Viognier & 5% Verdehlo
This is a Cape White blend wine displays a stunning golden straw colour. Aromas of white peach, grapefruit, honeysuckle and citrus blossom emanate from the glass. The palate is rich on entry, packed with white peach and citrus flavours leading to a creamy mid-palate. There is a textured pithy finish with hints of toasted almonds and white pepper spice.
The grapes are all sourced from vineyards situated on the northern slopes of the Paardeberg mountain growing in decomposed granite soils. Most of the vineyards are older bush-vines, unirrigated and low yielding. Each vineyard and variety are picked at various sugar ripeness levels to express the site best and to contribute their unique character to the blend.
This wine is a perfect accompaniment to Lobster Bisque, Seafood Paella, Sushi or any mildly spicy dish.
