Miles Mossop Chapter Four Sauvignon Blanc 2022

This Sauvignon Blanc comes from a single 37-year-old bush vine vineyard in the Stellenbosch growing on decomposed shale soils.

This wine displays a brilliant deep straw colour. On the nose fragrant lemongrass, cassis leaf and passionfruit aromas emanate from the glass underpinned by hints of dry straw and notes of fresh brioche. There is a great intensity on the entry of the palate with flavours of quince jelly, guava and lemongrass on the mid-palate with hints of toasted almonds and a velvety creaminess. This all leads to a textured pithy finish with a stunning length and a freshness reminiscent of oyster shell.

This wine is a perfect accompaniment to fresh oysters, grilled fish and chicken dishes.
