Blank Bottle Empire Strikes Back is a reference to the fact that winemaker Pieter Walser feels Stellenbosch has been overlooked following the Swartland Revolution. The half red star represents the revolution and the black and white stripes Stellenbosch (The Empire) fighting back!
This wine has a delicate, slightly restrained nose of white nectarines, chamomile, beeswax, nettles, honeysuckle and almonds. There is a waxy texture on the palate, yet the wine is fresh, bright and pure.
