RATINGS
Vivino: 4.2 | Tim Atkin: 97 points | Platter's: 5 stars
TASTING NOTES
100% Syrah
This violet-perfumed Syrah is the most elegant and perfumed of Mullineux's single-terroir Syrahs. Tim Atkin describes it as a Syrah that 'would not look out of place in Cornas'.
The nose has floral and fresh loganberry notes. The palate is medium to full-bodied and delicately spicy, with some young mulberry leaf and fruit character. The tannins are fine-grained and there is a fresh, natural acidity. This wine has an ageing potential of 15-25 years, and will greatly benefit from decanting if drunk within the first 3 to 5 years after bottling. Its optimal drinking window is between 2022-2030.
