TASTING NOTES
This is a subtle, quietly confident Pinot Noir that shows depth, purity and structure – characteristic of the site’s low-vigour, stony, clay-rich shale soil from a vineyard situated on a steep, northeast-facing slope in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, 125m above sea level.
This basket-pressed, native yeast-fermented wine shows great balance and length. The wine builds complexity in the glass. Opulent, spicy and perfumed, with rose petal and violet aromas, fine acidity, flavours of wild strawberries, complemented by savoury tannins and subtle oak. This wine has wonderful palate length, and great aging potential.
Only 6,120 bottles were produced for this vintage.
